Lafayette and George Washington

These images are very small in the back of the book Revolutionary Friends so I don't think it can hurt posting them.

The Usual

This is a old illustration, 5 years or so, recently "distressed"..oddly enough, for Working Mummies, one of the spreads was a  Werewolf in  a beauty parlor.  Good grooming runs in the family I guess.

Revolutionary Friends

Not out till next April but available for pre-order on Amazon, the next children's book I illustrated is  the story of the bond that was formed during  the American Revolution by George Washington and the Marquis de Lafayette taking place mostly in the beautiful, rolling  but war ravaged landscapes and colonial homes of Pennsylvania.

Morbids-NIghtmare of the Bloody Coffin

or the Return of Dr. Vermius.  Here's the first new drawing in the old sketchbook. Not as fun as drawing a spider ghoul but I draw her for myself all the time.

October Spooks

This is a older piece done for a Toronto music paper October issue contents page which I erased out, I did a month in their yearly cartoonists calendar for 3 years or so as well. I don't ink too much with a brush anymore but I still like this one and I'd like to do a longer story all brush.

Revolutionary Friends

Got a wonderful email from Mount Vernon on the artwork I just wrapped up on children's book about the friendship of Washington and Lafayette. Getting thumbs up from Mount Vernon and William Peter Blatty (for a future project)  in the same week isn't something I was expecting but a great way to end working on the book. I'll post more when it gets closer to publishing time but here is early, unfinished and not used illustration for the book.

Clouds Over Philly

I've spent a lot of time in  revolutionary Philadelphia over the last while in my head on this book and I really have to try and get there for a visit tho this year looks unlikely.
Amongst architecture and other things like any Poe stuff I'd like to see the Warhol gallery. I've been to other revolutionary battle sites but not there.

VIva

Here is small portion of a spread from the American Revolution book. Not the absolute final but close.
