I don't think girls slap guys and yell "fresh" like they did in the old days but what can I say, it was the first thing that popped into mind and I immediately thought of a old playboy style gag. Something I admit I don't have too much problem letting my mind wander too. We are getting ready to go away for the weekend and yet somehow I mangaged to dash this off.
what a cad! Have a good weekend folks.

You didn't even need a description. I saw Playboy right away. Of course, I see Playboy right away all the time...

Your work is as good as usual. Wonderful design wonderful art. :)
You absolutely captured that 1960-70's playboy style on the look, the gag, everything. Really put together well, esp. everyone's expressions.
That screams classic Playboy. Nice job!
Interesting interpretation!! I didn't even think about non food subject matter when I read the IF theme this morning ... still thinking about foood .... fresh apple pie ... ice-cream ... cake ....yum ... fresh fruit tart .... Hummmm ...
lol, loving the classic. just saw your escape image too, and it is just too good. can't wait to see more in the future.
Haha, he looks like he felt the slap was well worth it. I like your work. Your post of Nicholas brought back lots of memories... it had been translated into Chinese and I read lots of it when I was a kid, love it!
Awesome textures. It captures all the 70's playboy cartoons! Great!
Love the details in the wall behind.
Keep on blogging! (love the Nicholas and Hirsfield posts! sempè rules!)
When I was thinking about "fresh" I was not thinking that... this is a hilarious interpretation!
this is awesome. i especially love the texture of the brick building. and... crack-me-up, that guy still has a friggin' grin on his face after all that!
Funny! The faces are just right. I have a print on the same subject, but it's with people in late 18th c. garb...the fellow is sneaking a peek at the young lady's ankle! You have such a fabulous style, Drazen:>
very nice, yes me too this is exactly what i thought of...love her scowl...
