Working Mummies

The second Working Mummies book winner from the haunted  urn goes to CELESTE GAGNON  and this terrifying illustration of a  Mummy who has got things well under control  (but for how long?..Aaieeeeeee) with her  rambunctious and lovely brood.  A self portrait perhaps?
Where can I get a cat like is what I want to know?
I'll take two.
Thanks so much Celeste!

Mummy Chase!

Check out the  wonderful bone rattling work of Working Mummies book winner and hamburger crying illustrator  Mike Petrik. Mike sent in this skin crawling drawing of a mummy in shambling pursuit. I want to know what happens next!?

Working Mummies

I'll start posting the winners tomorrow but I wanted to share two more entries.
First up is the chilling GHOUL FRIDAY and her fear inducing  mummy sculpture. Visit her  heart stopping site and be amazed!
And here is a entry  by the the mysterious Cavin. Who is he? What is he?  He seems to have faded into the sands of time like the lingering scent of tannah leaves after ceremony.
All I know is he said it was ok to post these when he sent them and that was my criteria for posting so don't blame me if you can't stand the shock and are rendered a quivering mute after gazing at these photos.

Working Mummies

Here is a incredible Mummy  drawing by the talented Zander Banes.  The howling camel, pyramid and magically ominous starlight Egyptian sky create a feeling of timeless wonder! Zander wasn't a winner but as one of the few kids drawings I received for the  WORKING MUMMIES     giveaway I was lucky enough to be able to share it. But don't' think I'd let this kind of work go unappreciated, Zander is getting a thank you gift from me in the mail.

Ahool

What are the chances of finding a Ahool cryptid greeting card? Pretty slim I would think and yet I have stumbled upon one.....

Shop of Mysteries

As I figure out what way I'd like to go with a online store I thought I would set up a shop specific blog with available prints and news in that category.
Here for now tho is The Happy Undertaker's SHOP OF MYSTERIES.

The Canvey Island Monster

Sunday's Cryptozoodle.. its unpleasant, I know, but they are monsters after all.  For those with delicate constitutions I cropped the image but for those of stronger stomachs  and less fragile minds you can see the full image HERE.

Release The Bats

Shadows and Tall Trees

SHADOWS AND TALL TREES  is a excellent horror fiction journal edited and published by writer Michael Kelly that I highly recommend. Its print, its original and lovingly produced with exceptional stories, what more do you want?

Munch

Some breakfast, coffee and Munch.

Timothy Carey

Watched WHAT"S THE MATTER WITH HELEN? (Curtis Harrington) last night. Enjoyed it. Shelley Winters does good cracking up and there's some lovely Lucien Ballard cinematography. And its always great to see Timothy Carey, here as a looming homeless man.

I spent a dumb amount of time trying to get a decent sketch of Mr. Carey and in the end it proved elusive but here's the best of the bunch. I"ll give it a go on another day.

Marrow Bones and Munsters

My friend, neighbor and rad  artist Eric Orchard has a fine downloadable comic called Marrowbones which you can purchase from his blog. Check it out.

Also, I'm jealous of artist Patrick Owsley who owns this original Munsters puzzle art along with a bunch of other cool sixties  cartoon puzzle art.
