Thanks from a tip from Matt Jones I managed to catch the wonderful retrospective of Kiraz.
Seeing the originals was a real treat as well as samples of his earlier work that I wasn't as familiar with.

Sketches of Daumier sculptures.

We only hit two galleries and one being the Musee d'Orsay which I loved. Most of the time was spent
just wandering into cheese and book shops and just enjoying the architecture.

Paris!What a city eh.
Tho I can't say much for Charles de Gaulle airport.
I was only there for 3 days but had a heck of great time with killer food and a couple of great gallery visits.
Sketches, more to come.

After finishing a book I took a wee break to read some books and relax and was saddened to find out Bettie Page had passed away. This was a quick gouache done this morning in not my usual style but
it was fun.
Lots of sketches from a trip that I hope to post soon

I was asked to participate in the benefit Wonder Woman Day.

I don't think I've ever drawn Wonder Woman before.

We recently met up with Alisons brother for breakfast and he bought us this Dr.Seuss beer tray
from 1941 that we had been eyeing for some time.

We went to the Canadian National Exhibition this year. Had not been to it in while. All the old rickety rides I loved as a kid and oddball shows are gone ( to be replaced by new rickety rides) but you can still get a decent ice cream waffle and now they have pizza on a stick. The Haunted Mansion was quite a sad affair.

A Chaland ad

Well there's a little Chaland in the air so I thought I would post this.
Below I had posted some sketches of my take on two of Yves Chanland and Serge Clercs characters so heres a short strip with the two masters working together.
I believe this originally appeared in Metal Hurlant 64 (with colour?) these scans are from my " L'Anne De La Bande Dessinee"
81/82. A beauty!
Whenever I see that walk with the 90 degree foot like on the 3rd last page I think of Jack Coles Woozy Winks.

beauty!
