Family friend Mr. Miller built his own wooden boat and took us for a spin in it when he
him and his wife were at the Gravenhurst antique boat fair showing of their fancy old style ride. Beautiful mahogany wood and brass
steering wheels. It had some neat rudder system that allowed it turn 360 degrees on a dime
Mrs. Miller told Alison about some of the wild times her and her mother had in there younger
days including story about a fish and hammer that I'll have to doodle up something about.
Some other random sketches.

You have a very expressive style! I particularly like the portrait of Cruikshank.

Love the way the sketches 'fell' on the 2nd page down & the 2 lower pages-lovely selection of drawings
